Mariel Rodriguez defends Zanjoe Marudo on gay issue.  TV-host and actress Mariel Rodriguez defends her boyfriend Zanjoe Marudo on the current issue that the car given to her by her boyfriend actually came from is gay benefactor. Rodriguez said that the BMW 2008 was by Marudo on an installment basis through bank financing. They were together with the bank people when they purchased the car. "He works hard naman. It's not like naman na he has no show or he is just a basagulero somewhere or hampas lupa not doing anything. He is working naman at kaya niya naman, hindi ba?," Rodriguez said. Rodriguez is currently a co-host of the noontime show Wowowee and Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash of 2010, while Marudo is a mainstay of the afternoon sitcom Banana Split.
