Danica Flores Magpantay Wins 2011 Ford Supermodel Of The World

Another Filipino pride. Danica Flores-Magpantay won the most coveted title in the recently concluded  2011 Ford Supermodel of the World. She got the crown in this competition besting other 50 participants from around the world. The 17-year old Filipina is a Fine Arts student at the University of the Philippines in Diliman and currently on leave to give way to this rare opportunity in competing abroad. She is the youngest and the first Filipina who won in Ford Models. In an interview, Magpantay said that she will stay in New York as part of her commitment for the title she got. While in the city, she will enroll in an American university to pursue her studies.  Magpantay is the daughter of 1990 Super Model of the World - Philippines winner Lala Flores. As a prize, Magpantay was awarded a $250,000 worth of modeling contract.
